ABOUT THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION:
Since 2003, The American Heart Association has developed certifications that support the latest evidence-based science throughout the system of care. We also work to provide value-added benefits to those hospitals and facilities that choose to become certified using this path, including the online healthcare network, that go beyond the certification itself.
The American Heart Association is involved in certifications of hospitals and post-acute care facilities for very simple reasons – to improve patient outcomes and the standard of care. The Healthcare Network and other value-added benefits and services such as educational webinars, a patient tool-box and other resources, additional consultation and collaboration with our Quality Improvement consultants are intrinsic to the value of our programs.
